New research from Boston University studying the death of a former NFL athlete, Kevin Turner, is suggesting that chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) can be disguised as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
CTE is now known as a large concerning topic for the NFL and its current/previous players, as well as boxers. It is a neurodegenerative disease linked to repeated brain trauma. Due to the physical nature of the sports, more symptoms of brain injuries reporting back to the 1970’s have been reported.
